Sunday, August 5th- The Bath Historical Society will host a 'Pioneer Picnic'!

Last day to get tickets is July 31st!!

This old fashioned picnic will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the Bath Community Park as part of the Bicentennial celebration. The meal will include chicken, potatoes, salad, dessert, and lemonade. Tickets will be for sale for $10 at the Bake Shop in Ghent, Garth Andrew's, and at the Bath Township Historical Society Museum.

Bath Township used to have the annual pioneer picnic for several years. It is believed to have started in the 1860’s to commemorate the Perry Victor on Lake Erie on September 10th, 1813. The picnic also celebrated Civil War veterans in later years, and the tradition continued into the 1930s. We hope you’ll join us for this community event!
