Last day to get tickets is July 31st!!
This old fashioned picnic will be held from 1:00 to 3:00 pm in the Bath Community Park as part of the Bicentennial celebration. The meal will include chicken, potatoes, salad, dessert, and lemonade. Tickets will be for sale for $10 at the Bake Shop in Ghent, Garth Andrew's, and at the Bath Township Historical Society Museum. Bath Township used to have the annual pioneer picnic for several years. It is believed to have started in the 1860’s to commemorate the Perry Victor on Lake Erie on September 10th, 1813. The picnic also celebrated Civil War veterans in later years, and the tradition continued into the 1930s. We hope you’ll join us for this community event!

I didn't know that Bicentennial celebration still exists up to these days! But I am sure that a lot of people will still go there as they know that the event is worth going to. Aside from the good food selection that they have on the picnic, it is also a chance for old folks to meet each other. I know that they have been longing for it, so it will always be better to have this Bicentennial celebration celebrated! I would love to attend it if I will be given the chance.
