The Museum is now open!
The 2017 exhibit will feature Delbert and Daisy Staats; they operated the Staats general store. Jared Barker was sheriff in 1902. Ann Heller Davis taught at the Ghent School. One of her students was Anna McFarland. We will have the ‘Mayor of Ghent’, a local colorful character- Nelson ‘Nelt’ Mills. Thomas Pierson was a local beekeeper at the Bee House. Dr. Smith had his office in the Knights of Maccabees Hall, along with KOTM member Roswell Hopkins. Ghent had many mills, including the Yellow Creek feed mill, the Woolen mill, and the Barker sawmill.During the 1913 flood, Ford Crile was only eleven years old at the time, but was able to remember it well.
The mission of the Bath Township Historical Society is to collect, preserve, and own such records, books, manuscripts, charts, maps and other materials as may be deemed worthy of a place in its archives, together with articles of historical value to be kept in its museums.
